Atelier "Fabrique ton PINNs" v2

mardi 20 oct. 2026, 09:15 → 16:30 Europe/Paris

09:15 → 09:30 Accueil

09:30 → 10:30 Introduction à la théorie des PINNs

Orateur: Victor Michel-Dansac

10:30 → 12:15 Tutoriel : un PINNs en JAX en partant de zéro

After a short introduction to the JAX library, we will continue with a tutorial.

In this tutorial, we will illustrate the Physics-Informed Neural Network (PINN, Raissy et al, 2019) approach to approximate the solution of a physical problem modeled by a Partial Differential Equation (PDE).
We will:

• build a Neural Network (NN) to serve as a parameterized function uθuθ,
• use the autodiff engine to evaluate the residual of the PDE for the candidate solution uθuθ,
• train the NN (i.e. tune parameters θθ to minimize the residual of the PDE) so that uθuθ approximates the solution u∗u∗ of the PDE.

Orateurs: Hugo Gangloff (MIA Paris Saclay, INRAE), Nicolas Jouvin (INRAE), Rémi Imbach, Victor Michel-Dansac

12:15 → 13:15 Pause déjeuner (plateaux repas)

13:15 → 14:45 Présentation et tutoriel pour la bibliothèque jinns

We will present the jinns Python library designed for PINNs parametric & inverse problems with JAX. Following a hands-on tutorial on a jupyter notebook, participants will discover key features of the library on a toy example.

Orateurs: Hugo Gangloff (MIA Paris Saclay, INRAE), Nicolas Jouvin (INRAE)

14:45 → 15:00 Pause café

15:00 → 16:30 Présentation et tutoriel pour la bibliothèque Scimba

After introducing the Scimba library, we will continue with two tutorials. In the first tutorial, we will solve a 2D Poisson PDE on an annulus with mixed boundary conditions using a Scimba PINNs. The second tutorial covers the use of some time-discrete schemes available in Scimba for solving the rotating transport problem.
